Dr Jerry Chen is an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon and the Medical Director of Alps Orthopaedic Centre. Dr Chen graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and was subsequently accepted into the highly competitive Orthopaedic Surgery specialist training programme at SingHealth and clinched the Best Resident Award during his residency training years. Prior to running his private practice, he was a consultant at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) where he accumulated over 12 years of experience in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr Chen’s clinical interests include: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), Hip and Knee Conditions, Joint Replacement Surgery, Joint Preservation Surgery, Sports Injuries, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgery, and Trauma Fractures of Upper and Lower Limbs.
Dr Chen integrates the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) approach when performing hip and knee day surgeries, aiming to signicantly reduce pain levels for his patients post-operation and accelerate their journey to recovery.
