International Centre for Thoracic Surgery (ICTS) is spearheaded by Dr Aneez Ahmed, the first among the ASEAN cohort to get a Level III certificate in Robotics Surgery.
Located at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre, ICTS focuses on Robotic Thoracic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery, Thoracic Oncology, Chest Wall Surgery & Reconstruction, and Surgery for Hyperhidrosis.

Dr Aneez D.B Ahmed is a certified Thoracic Surgeon by the Ministry of Health of Singapore who specialises in treating various lung diseases, especially lung cancer. Prior to starting his private practice at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Dr Aneez D.B. served as the Head of Service of Thoracic Surgery in Department of General Surgery in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore.
He has been a practitioner of general thoracic surgery and especially thoracic oncology for more than a period of twenty years and his clinical interests are Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and minimally invasive as well as robotic Lung surgery. In fact, Dr Aneez is well-recognized as the first among ASEAN surgeons to receive a Level III Certificate Specialist training in Robotic Thoracic Surgery from the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. In local context, Dr Aneez was featured in the news as the first local surgeon to be fully accredited to use robot arms for thoracic surgery in Singapore since 2012.
Dr Aneez receives patient referrals from both local and overseas hospitals. Patients from Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Philippines and U.A.E travel to Singapore to see him. He is often invited as an international speaker to many conferences and workshops in the regions
